Last weekend, I made three drawings of night city - inspired by the high-rise apartment buildings in my home city Shenyang, China. The place I stayed in May was new residential quarter with many buildings of various heights. They were not very characterful during the day. Nice looking in a generic way. However, at night, when it grew dark and people turned their lights on, those buildings became very colorful with many candy-colored windows animating the quiet early summer dark night.
