An acclaimed Taiwanese artist, Hung Yi (洪易), is exhibiting his fanciful large-scaled sculptures in San Francisco Civic Center Plaza from April 19 to May 2, 2015. The exhibit includs 19 shining animals, painted with vivid colors and elaborate symbols, transformed the Plaza into a huge menagerie and the exhibition is aptly named as "Fancy Animal Carnival".
I saw it two weeks ago and had great time view these strange creatures. The exhibition was not very profound, perhaps, but engaging enough to warrant a visit to savor the whims of the artist.

Beautiful Beach Scenes in Aptos and Moss Landing
A couple weeks ago, I visited Santa Cruz area for a family event and saw some amazing images of sunrise and sunset and sea animals in the beautiful Seascape Beach in Aptos and at Moss Landing near Monterey. The sights were just gorgeous and beyond description. I'll let images do their eloquent speeches.
March 14, Aptos, California:

Otter at the estuary
March 15, Aptos, California:
Seal swam by the surfers
Shark sighting at Aptos
There were some uncertainty as if that creature was a shark or a dolphin. The surfers, after having seen the images, adamantly claimed that it was indeed a shark.
