"Diptych - Dawn" Won Another Award

ArtSlant, the largest art presence online just announced its 5th 2013 Showcase award winners and I was honored again, with my new painting "Diptych - Dawn"!

The ArtSlant Prize is a Showcase Series designed to exhibit and promote talented artists from around the world. The Showcase has six rounds per year, and in each round artists may enter one image and compete for different stages of winning status. 

The jurors are:  Darren Jones - Artist, Writer, Curator, New York; Neysa Page-Lieberman - Director & Curator in the Department of Exhibition and Performance Spaces, Columbia College, Chicago; and Deb Klowden Mann - Gallery KM, Los Angeles.

One More Award from ArtSlant Showcase Competition

ArtSlant just chose my oil painting "Dispersion" as one of their 2nd 2010 Juried Showcase Winners in the painting category.  When choosing work to enter for this competition, I was influence by a curator who had looked at my portfolio and told me that my Dispersion was the strongest in that group and apparently, others were warm to it as well:

ArtSlant Juried Winners for the First Showcase 2010

ArtSlant, an online art community, self-proclaimed "the #1 contemporary art network", hosts online showcases a few times a year. According to ArtSlant, the selections are made based upon the quality of the art work and a review of every artist's profile. Each of its Juried Winners is eligible for its Golden Frame competition, which will take place at the end of our 2010 Showcase series. The final 3 winners will receive exhibitions, cash awards and lots of worldwide exposure.
